Cut Paste!!

The title seems like some software mantra!!..ah!!
Chart paper decorations is what i mean here...
I had loads of waste chart paper landed under my drawing table..which me & my sister used for her teacher training assignments....for her class room flash card session we cut those color charts into various shapes to write the questions that students need to answer........ her work is done... and there..my waste management starts!!
Oh Im so tired.. let me get a nap!!

scissors, little pieces of charts and busy hands..that is all you need for this.......
These different shapes can be accomodated with waste thermocol balls too.....
Paste them on wrapped gifts..and can add a touchy line in the space......
I am yet to add a line for these cute couple...sshhh..they're busy..DND!!

We involved in some community service activity organised by our company........
The opening ceremony had to have a welcome Rangoli on the floors to catch up the go!!

And this is my trial in painting the white fish tank marbles wid acrylics....... Loved the event and the process..... various activities to cheer up the orphan kids and to liven up their living cum studying places, painting the walls, accompanying them to theme parks, many stalls and garage sales, multi cuisine lunch for the whole 3 months that contributes the whole sum money for their studies..........

The thing on top of all those is... we felt we made some difference...as v dont jus spent d money for them...v wer wid them and felt their need alive!!......

An amazing team time.....wow...... and each moment and everything with my close mates.. shammi & bhoo !!! :) :) wooo..we made it!! cheeers!!

Angry birds - Applique work on pillow Cover

angry birds..yayyy !!
Applique is the method of stitching tiny pieces of colored cloth over another layer of cloth.The word Applique comes from the french word "appliquer" which means to "put on".
My brother's unused t-shirts are now worn by pillows and oh..the plain black T looked like a crow for me....So planned to give it some colors and got this angry birds fever.....
The blue little birdy is done...and the pig King Pig is on the way in my next post !!

The remake of the photographed tat i showed in my previous post........

Why I chose to take an attempt was for the love the lady had for her mom......the baby in the photo is now just 60 years old. :)

Was so confused whether to make the eye brows dark or not , coz in the photo they have put dark eyebrows for the baby as we Indians do !

After seeing the painting , I got the call from her at once,she said she cud see her mom's resemblance wid tat.....My desire got satisfied then......... dated 18th feb , remembered forever!!!

A super story behind this salwar suit.........

shhhhhh...i ll tell tat soon......now im gonna tell the making of this dress suit !!

Me and Sara have rounded up the whole t nagar to buy the clothing,design materials...& later i sketched the dress model and got this stitched up by a tailor in thiruvanmiyur for Dheekshu's bday............

& up next s the whole designing embroidery part...i really enjoyed those 2 days.....the new year eve went up wid this dress designing....the florals that cover up the whole silky cloth is my fav <3 ....likezzzz !!!

Dated 16th dec 2010................to be remembered forever !!

Today my juniors went for their first placement in campus interview of T_S ........and so many got placed too..........
wow...enormously, in a great count!!!

And the next is my first rangoli contest in my office............yup..I bagged the FIRST PLACE wid a sooper team wid me........my rangoli team members madhavi,duraichi,prabakhar were there all the time......we started yesterday night 8 pm and worked on till 10.30 pm (we chose this much late timings as some of us are in shifts & support teams)..... Its a complete miracle..coz..i as usual din have any prior sketchings , jus went there, started the theme that came in its way........we made the finishing touch today morning and awaited for the guests to come...i was jus pleased to see the guests snapping the rangoli from many different angles with their mobile cams......v wer in east team and had to make in a theme of UNITY IN DIVERSITY...........

our tag is.......... "EAST OR WEST TOGETHER INDIA IS THE BEST".......

the third best thing , is that I got handfull of new friends........Divya, urmila,Madhavi,srinath...

"THE ARTSY CRAFTSY CHALLENGE June 2010"
this is my very favourite experiment , that I made out of packing thermocol...

Green green...........tats the nature tends to be........come let us all go green by cycling and recycling too....let d mother nature feel cozy in our crafty hands...

again it takes me to the pretty cool card print......woo woo........

Crimson red.....that reflects freshness..the color of the heart and blood and everything that merges with love and has much of mirchi......so a floral card print here.....

As like u......i love black...& this s it
easy cut...square shaped thermocol...... a magical touch in a minute ll make ur cloth dimensional..

I had been posting my art works again......as a series of pics in a single post..........as i got damn kindered to compete in the artsy craftsy challenge for june month,..... & ya I love it :D And to say about the kids ages.....after u had done with the carving...its jus d stamping........so even a hardly 3 yr old can come out with amazing artifacts....

Materials:
Polythene bag,scissors,thin string,cutter.

Make it easy:
1)cut the polythene bag to square shaped pieces
2)take 4 pieces and fold them as shown in the figure
3)Do as u ll make fan from paper
4)make alternative folds
5)tie them with a piece of string
6)cut the string off
7)expand the paper folds
8)cut the ends in an outward curve shape
9)untwirl all the papers to each round of the flower

and tats it..............thanks to flower making techniques available online................i used one from them here !!!

A monthly calendar , which had not lost its shine & lustre.......but still useless ...ha ha...it was of 2009's ....
so I tried some twists & turns to reuse it on a greeting pop-up...with flowers & basket made by inserting thin strips of paper into one another .... I wud like to dedicate these cards to my friend Mr.Prem Kumar...for his colorful bday today & i made it jus for today...........Stay smiling my friend ..all the day....forever !!

tat was a perfect scene of "colour blend".....wen I tried on the print stamps( I carved with only knife on thermocol)with prussian blue acrylics on the yellow cloth my amma gave from the blouse bit remains... ha...I enjoy the color merge & was taken back to long years ago....wen I get surprised wid mixing colors and get the magic new color of those sketch pens.. !!

this is my new try in making printable stamp designs !!
I used the same "go - green" concept of using packing thermocol for every art i make now !!Using acrylic colors in these stamps we can make very beautiful designs within a minute....& also it is easy to draw similar pattern bases for embroidery...

my prints will be shown in the next post ....keep watching !!

Using the shining paper , from old monthly sheet calendars we can make paper beads...

This tiny door hanger is made from waste plastic cylindrical box lid and connected all those paper beads(which can be prepared using glue applied on paper rolled over a small stick)....connect similar pieces of these using thread and hang it .

I found it on a carton in the loft..After 7 years it took bath yesterday....so that was my violet ball that helped to balance those loose threads at the centre..My sissy is wearing it as a hat for fun....really it looks so so.........comic!!

As I said in my previous post , I used the package themocol for this art work!!
JUST JUNK NEEDED:
@Thermocol material(that comes in package of electronic items)
@thread
@scissors
@needle
@cutter(min. 3 inch)

STEPS:
#1--Cut the thick package thermocol in the various desirable shapes
#2--to insert the thread ,priorly makes holes using needle
#3--Cut a star or circular shape in the thermocol,this we must use as a support for hanging all the other pieces
#4--using the thread ,insert all the thermocol shapes and arrange together to design our wind chimes

A memorable one..........this stone which I brought from Kerala ,that I found in a falls stream.....................I love it much & longed for it to be with me forever.............

so I painted it with acrylic and now..Its my paper weight !! happy to remember always :)

handmade flowers

Materials needed:

sola wood
scissors
green cello tape
long stick
thread
thin wire (if needed for making the stalks)

Steps:

cut the sola wood in the shape of a petal and bend the edges smoothly to give a real floral effect
make about 5 of them to prepare a single flower
take a thin wire , and curl it in the tip , roll up the thread over it
attach the petals around it and tie them with thread
using the green cellotape , attach many such flowers to the long stick , so that to make a stem with multiple blooms !!!

just go on..................decor your home & room with lovely flowers or do gift your beloved & dont miss the smile they give you back !!
