In north India , the dressing materials are majorly embellished with stones , bead works , bright art pieces like shells etc. They are always seen with a chain stitch , which is easily done with a zardosi needle and golden or silver colored threads.For sarees it is a tougher job to make a chain stitch throughout!!!
So , with the zardosi needle in your hand , you can make faster chain stitches with the needle dragged at the top with the thread brought below...............
You can even attach beads , chamkis with that needle!!!!
